A Sharper Journey: TAFE at School
As parents, you play a crucial role in shaping your children’s futures. Encouraging them to explore career options early on can lead them toward success. One valuable avenue for high school students in Brisbane is TAFE at School.
TAFE at School
What Is It? TAFE at School allows high school students to undertake vocational education and training while still in secondary school.
Benefits:
Dual Qualification: Completing a TAFE at School course allows students to earn their Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) and a nationally recognised vocational qualification.
University Pathways: TAFE at School can fast-track their journey to university by contributing to their Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR).
Payment plans:
As a TAFE Queensland student, there are a range of concessions, loans, and scholarships you may be eligible for to assist you with the cost of your study and training.
If you're not eligible for a VET Student Loan or FEE-HELP, you may be able to pay your course fees via a TAFE Queensland payment plan.
You may also be able to access a payment plan if your course costs more than the VET Student Loan cap and you need to pay the remaining gap.
Benefits:
Cost Savings: Imagine completing a certificate or diploma with reduced fees*. Then, having a
guaranteed spot^ to enter a degree program in the second year.
Speedy Completion: Programs often take less time than a bachelor’s degree.
TAFE Queensland has been empowering students for over 140 years, equipping them with practical skills for lifelong careers. So, let’s encourage our teens to explore these opportunities. Whether they choose a vocational path or aim for higher education, we can be their path to greatness. (*Eligibility criteria apply. ^See our University Pathways for more information.)
